Rihanna covers the May issue of Vibe Magazine.This picture looks like it was taken from another photo so I doubt she actually posed for the cover. But of course the issue is talking about the Rihanna and Chris Breezy debacle. Pick up the issue if you want to keep reading the same stuff you already know.
The live stream coverage has ended, but the media circus is just beginning. Chris Brown entered the L.A. Criminal Court building 30 minutes late and just left out a few minutes ago. He entered a plea of NOT GUILTY to both felony counts of Assault and Making Criminal Threats.
Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra spoke post-arraignment saying he won’t confirm or deny whether Chris and Rihanna have seen each other over the last few months. He did say Rihanna is ready to comply 100% with what is required of her–including testifying if necessary. He also repeated over and over how well Rihanna is doing these days.
Etra confirmed Rihanna is still in Barbados with her family and was not required to be at the arraignment. Chris Brown’s mother, best friend, lawyer Mark Geragos and bodyguards all accompanied him into the courthouse.
Chris’ next court date is April 29th, back up date is April 30th.

Mediatakeout.com is reporting that Solange is about to take Beyonce’s place in Destinys Child:
Last week the industry was buzzing with rumors that Destiny’s Child would reunite for another album. The group, which consists of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, still owes their label one more album under contract.
But according to one of MediaTakeOut.com’s snitches, the new album will not likely have Beyonce on it. According to one of our label insiders, Beyonce is reluctant to record another album with her former members.
The insider told MediaTakeout.com, “I actually agree with Beyonce. Doing an entire album with [Kelly and Michelle] doesn’t really make sense.” The insider added, “She’s at the height of her career right now – why take a step back.”
The label insider offered his take on what the new Destiny’s Child album will look like. The tipster told MediaTakeout.com, “The new [album] will either be remixes of old songs – or maybe Solange will be the new lead singer. I know [Mathew Knowles and co.] was floating that idea a while back.”
As strange as it sounds, we actually like the idea of Solo being the new head of D.C….
Focusing on moving forward with the tremendous momentum with her music and acting career, as well as planning her wedding to fiance David Otunga is keeping Jennifer Hudson busy.
The Dreamgirls Oscar winner was on the cover of Entertainment Weekly and said in an interview that she is having trouble handling her emotional fans looking to comfort her in the wake of her family tragedy.
“I don’t like it when people get all emotional. I don’t want you to cry,” Hudson told the magazine. But when you do get emotional with JHud, she’s more than happy to laugh with you. “To see that love from fans, one of the most beautiful things.”

The iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy is set to be renamed this coming Fall 2009. Louis Vuitton representatives stated that the classic handbag will be renamed as Fasty as it sounds more appealing to those who needs a perfect bag that would fit their fast-paced lives.
In addition, the name of the sizes will also be replaced with the new ones inspired by the sizes of Starbucks Coffee. The new names are as follows:
Speedy 25 – Fasty Short
Speedy 30 – Fasty Tall
Speedy 35 – Fasty Grande
Speedy 40 – Fasty Venti
The name change will take effect this coming Fall 2009.

Marc Jacobs said that Michelle Obama is justperfect for the campaign as the first lady exudes an air of elegance and classic sensuality.
The campaign will be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott at the grounds of the White House this coming May 2009.

Britney Spears’s new ads for Candie’s are out, and most of us have come to the realization she’s been retouched. Stop the presses. The paper notes, “Her incredibly thin and flawless physique is a rather stark contrast to the fuller figure she put on show during her Circus tour in Newark, New Jersey, in March. As she made an entrance on a swing … her slouched pose didn’t do her once famously toned stomach any favours.” So they’ve at once scolded Candie’s for Photoshopping her and scolded Britney (perhaps more so) for supposedly needing it. We only wish Candie’s felt she could have sold shoes without whittling her down to a twig.
In light of recent events, it seems unlikely that the “Bootilicious” trio will join forces again, but then again contracts are legally binding. And so despite Beyoncé’s solo assent, Michele Williams’ relative anonymity and Kelly Rowland’s apparent suicide scare, split from manager Matthew Knowles and fall out with Columbia Records, Destiny’s Child is slated to return.
I hope the reality show circus is ready to capture every moment, because drama is anything but new to Destiny’s Child. Anyone remember original members LaTavia Roberson and Latoya Luckett? What about replacement Farrah Franklin?
I won’t be surprised if Williams is booted and replaced with Beyoncé’s baby sis Solange while Kelly is relegated to back-up duty. I think the writing is on the wall, but we’ll have to wait and see.
