Britney Spears’s new ads for Candie’s are out, and most of us have come to the realization she’s been retouched. Stop the presses. The paper notes, “Her incredibly thin and flawless physique is a rather stark contrast to the fuller figure she put on show during her Circus tour in Newark, New Jersey, in March. As she made an entrance on a swing … her slouched pose didn’t do her once famously toned stomach any favours.” So they’ve at once scolded Candie’s for Photoshopping her and scolded Britney (perhaps more so) for supposedly needing it. We only wish Candie’s felt she could have sold shoes without whittling her down to a twig.

In light of recent events, it seems unlikely that the “Bootilicious” trio will join forces again, but then again contracts are legally binding. And so despite Beyoncé’s solo assent, Michele Williams’ relative anonymity and Kelly Rowland’s apparent suicide scare, split from manager Matthew Knowles and fall out with Columbia Records, Destiny’s Child is slated to return.

I hope the reality show circus is ready to capture every moment, because drama is anything but new to Destiny’s Child. Anyone remember original members LaTavia Roberson and Latoya Luckett? What about replacement Farrah Franklin?

I won’t be surprised if Williams is booted and replaced with Beyoncé’s baby sis Solange while Kelly is relegated to back-up duty. I think the writing is on the wall, but we’ll have to wait and see.

When the First Lady rocked this J. Crew cardigan and skirt combo in London this week a shopping frenzy ensued.

The cream-colored “crystal constellation” cardigan ($298) she wore during a visit to Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre Wednesday sold out on J.Crew’s Web site by 10 a.m. that morning (her “dazzling dots” skirt, $158, is virtually gone as well).

Okay, okay, okay – I know this has been said over and over and over again, but when a hugely huge designer like Valentino says it, all of a sudden it’s totally legit. So when Valentino compared Michelle Obama to former first lady Jackie Kennedy, he officially cemented the likeness. Says E!,

If anyone can predict whether Michelle Obama has the fashion chops to be the next Jackie O, it’s Valentino.

“It’s quite soon to decide that already she’s found this style or that style. She needs maybe a little more time,” the legendary Italian designer said of our new first lady at last night’s screening of Valentino: The Last Emperor at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, before optimistically pronouncing: “She’s beautiful, and I am sure that very, very soon, she will be like Jackie Kennedy.”

Congratulations! Coming from Valentino, any fashion compliment is an ENORMOUS honor.

Are Kanye West and Rihanna hooking up???  According to one entertainment insider, they ARE!!!

A few months ago, a number of tabloids reported that Kanye and Rihanna shared a romantic moment backstage at a TI concert. Star magazine was quoted as writing:

Rihanna and Kanye hung out together after they performed their songs. Rihanna was sitting on Kanye’s lap, singing, along to the music. Before long, the two were full-on kissing each other
People were shocked. After a while, Rihanna must have realized people were watching, because she had her security escort her back to the dressing room.

Well now that Chris Brown’s out of the way – they appear to be picking up where they left off. A person close to Rihanna told MediaTakeOut.com that in a few days, Kanye and Rihanna will both be in Hawaii working on Rihanna’s new album – and possibly more.

The couple, who are scheduled to record at Avex Honolulu Studio in Hawaii, have been sending each other flirty texts in recent days. An insider told MediaTakeOut.com, “There was always an attraction there for both of them … with them locked up in the studio for days, anything is possible.”
The insider continued, “I know that Rihanna’s open to it.”

Mel B launched her burlesque act entitled Peepshow in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Thursday night. Mel B described her performance as ’scantily clad, but in a classy way’.

 A man has been arrested for allegedly stalking actor Jamie Foxx while he was in Philadelphia shooting a movie.

The actor was staying at the AKA Hotel on S. 18 Street while filming the movie Law Abiding Citizen.

According to sources, 49-year-old Steven Toliver allegedly attempted to break into Foxx’s hotel room on three separate occasions. The three incidents occurred on March 22, March 27 and March 31.

Sources said on one occasion, Foxx physically struggled with Toliver and had to push him out of the actor’s hotel room. The suspect allegedly claimed he was Beyonce’s producer.

Foxx’s security guards spotted the man several days after the incidents near the movie set and he was taken into police custody.

The suspect is facing numerous charges, including burglary. Sources said Toliver has 24 prior arrests.

Rihanna and her personal assistant/bff Melissa Ford were spotted in Hawaii earlier today after skipping out on the paparazzi at LAX.  She will be in Hawaii for the next few days recording some cuts for her upcoming album.

Actor Djimon Hounsou and Ceo Kimora Lee Simmons were photographed at Ill Sole Restaurant in West Hollywood on 3/31/09. Kimora was surprisingly camera shy and tried to shield her baby bump from the paparazzi. Kimora is nearing her eighth month of pregnancy and is due to have a baby boy. Kimora already has daughters Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 6 ½, from her previous marriage to mogul Russell Simmons.
